All classes, at all levels, offer a warm, welcoming, environment designed to foster confidence and self-esteem. We encourage all of our students, of any age, to explore and grow in the performance art that brings them joy and passion.

Our Instructors have traveled the globe dancing and had the privilege of training at some of the world’s best institutions. Our Staff are more than Performing Artists, they are Mentors who are deeply driven to inspire each of our students to achieve greatness and follow their dreams.

MINIS PROGRAM

Our MiniRhythms program (for children ages 3-6) was designed with a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development in mind. Each class will include several types of dance including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. A time for some fun games also included in this class.

BALLET

Intro To Ballet (ages 6-9)
Intro to Ballet focuses on teaching the foundation of ballet including center floor exercises with emphasis on language, technique, grace, and coordination.

Level 1 Ballet
Ballet Technique introduces students to the ballet barre and center floor exercises with emphasis on language, technique, grace, and coordination. Ballet is the backbone of many other types of dance and is recommended if taking jazz, modern, or contemporary.

Level 2/3 Ballet (ages 12+)

Ballet Technique continues work with students on the ballet barre and center floor exercises with emphasis on language, technique, grace, and coordination.

For advanced dancers with a strong Ballet background. This is a fast-paced class with a full barre and center. Focus on musicality, artistry, expression and technique. It’s a big city class in Truckee.

This dance discipline combines technique and style from many dance genres in an attempt to explore the natural energy and emotions of your body through music.

Tap dancing will help dancers improve their coordination, balance, musicality, and is great exercise. This traditional dance form will teach students to move their feet to the beat!

All levels are welcome – some dance experience is beneficial. Enjoy an hour of fun and fitness, learning all types of dance styles from Fosse to Funk. The class is based on professional jazz technique which offers the foundation to perform dance routines featuring Broadway, Latin, Funk, Lyrical, and many more.

Intro to Ballroom
Enjoy an hour of fun focusing on the basics of partnering and good technique. You will learn an entire routine every six weeks featuring one style of dance. Over the course of the six-week sessions we will explore Latin, Swing, Country, and other classic and current dance styles.

InnerWellness Classes

DANCE CARDIO

AFLOW Cardio Dance (ages 18+)

Aflow is an adult cardio dance class. The vibe of the class core will be AfroBeats sprinkled with Pop and Hip-Hop. Students will leave class feeling energized, refreshed, and mentally and physically challenged. No dance experience is required. This class is for all levels and diverse backgrounds with a positive growth mindset. Class is 50 mins long and includes a stretch/cool down.

U-JAM Cardio Dance

Combining the energy and grittiness of urban dance with fitness, U-Jam is a cardio dance experience that feels more like a 90’s House Party than a workout.

U-Jam brings funky, adrenaline-based beats from around the world with easy-to-follow choreography, so everyone, everywhere can get their Jam on. No matter your background – even if you’ve never danced before – all are welcome to Jam with us! Our classes are diverse and inclusive and designed for all ages and fitness levels.

Forever Young Dance (ages 55+)

Increase flexibility, mobility, and balance in a friendly, social dance class. A great cardiovascular workout and wonderful for muscle memory. Suggested $10 donation.

BARRE WITH THE BAR EFFECT

Barre is a total body workout that lifts your booty, tones your thighs, legs, and arms, and flattens those abs. Utilizing the bar to perform small isometric movements set to music, Barre is a fast, effective, yet non-invasive way to change your body.
